Life
is God’s greatest gift to mankind. Therefore, it is a must for us to give due
value and respect to such sacred gift. One way of doing so is giving much
concern and attention to one’s health or nutrition; as the popular saying
implies, “Health is Wealth”.
Food
is considered as the body’s daily fuel. We need food to survive, to satisfy
appetite and to meet physiological needs for growth, to maintain all body
processes and to supply energy to maintain body temperature and body activities.
Regular consumption of vegetables is a significant way to promote one’s good nutrition.
Herbaceous plants should be served 3-5 servings per day because they contain a
large amount of nutrients. They play a very vital role in the eradication of
diseases.
Put
the ball in your own court. This is now the right time for us to do our roles
in promoting our health or nutritional status. Serving herbaceous plants daily
is a necessity, let us consume vegetables regularly.
